The authorities in Guinea deployed a large security force near the central prison in Conakry after heavy machine-gun fire was heard from the facility early Tuesday morning. Law enforcement has secured the area around the prison. The cause of the incident has not yet been clarified. Official sources have also not reported any casualties.
